Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1 stick of cold butter, cut into cubes.

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar.

  • 1/2 cup white sugar.

  • 1 egg.

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.

  • 1 and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks.


  • Large bowl.

  • Hand or stand mixer.

  • Spatula.

  • Measuring cups.

  • Measuring spoons.

  • Baking sheet.

  • Cookie pan.

  • Ice cream scoop.


  1. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius (250 degrees Fahrenheit).

  2. In a large bowl, mix the cold butter and sugars using a stand or hand mixer.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing until fluffy.

  4. Add the baking powder, baking soda, and flour and mix until combined. Add the chocolate chips/chunks and mix again.

  5. Lay a baking sheet on a cookie pan.

  6. Scoop out the cookie dough using an ice cream scoop and put it on the pan with at least 2 inches between them.

  7. Put it in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked inside and the bottom is golden brown.

  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes and enjoy!
