Chocolate Banana Bread


  • 1 cup oats.

  • 3 ripe bananas.

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey.

  • 1 large tablespoon chocolate spread or chocolate peanut butter.

  • 2 eggs.

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda.

  • 1/2 teaspoon oil or non-stick spray.

  • Chocolate chips (optional).


  • Blender.

  • Measuring cups.

  • Measuring spoons.

  • Banana bread pan.

  • Spatula.

  • Toothpick.

  • Knife.


  1. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius (250 degrees Fahrenheit).

  2. In a blender, add the oats and blend for 3 minutes or until it becomes a powder.

  3. Add the maple syrup/honey, bananas, chocolate spread, eggs, vanilla, and baking soda.

  4. Blend for 5-8 and scrape off the sides using a spatula halfway through. Then continue blending until incorporated.

  5. Brush the pan with oil or spray with a non-stick spray.

  6. Pour the batter into the pan, then sprinkle with chocolate chips.

  7. Put it in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until the top is browned.

  8. Take it out of the oven and insert a toothpick in the middle. If the toothpick is not clean then put in the oven for an extra 10 minutes.

  9. Cut it into slices and enjoy!
